After a promising debut in 2025, Buchla and Friends 2026 proved that last year was just the beginning.

The growth from year one to year two was remarkable. More visitors, more buzz, more innovation – and that special energy that comes when a community realizes they've found their new home event.

What made the difference:

A bigger venue, more exhibitors, significantly more visitors – and live performances that elevated everything. Suzanne Ciani and TamiX brought the artistic dimension that transformed the event from trade show to community celebration. 

Our experience:

The expanded format meant reconnecting with last year's partners while making countless new connections. More international visitors brought richer conversations about market trends, technical requirements, and the evolving modular landscape. The quality of engagement at our booth was outstanding – informed visitors with specific questions and genuine curiosity.

Looking ahead:

If this trajectory continues, Buchla and Friends is cementing itself as the essential gathering for modular synthesis in the US. Year three is going to be remarkable.

Alex4 will be attending Buchla & Friends in Downtown Los Angeles on 24 and 25 January.

Now in its third year, Buchla & Friends runs alongside the NAMM show in Anaheim. With a strong focus on showcasing boutique synth makers, Buchla & Friends has grown year on year, and this year it expects over 80 brands to attend. We will be representing Animal Factory, Clank, Doepfer, Endorphines, Frap Tools, Ohm Force, Supercritical Synthesizers, Tobinski, Teaching Machines, and Verbos Electronics.
